So, as I am new to this whole blogging thing, bare with me as my post style changes and I get into a somewhat daily routine. The races are over Yamaha took the win and Ducati took a third place seat. Not such a bad thing seeing as how a few of the higher ranking riders finished towards the bottom of the pack. Not really interesting I'm sure... Moving on...
The weekend was great it all started with a lap on the GP circuit at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Friday morning. Then it was off to Ducati Indianapolis for our parking passes and to see if they had a handlebar for Jeff's bike as our little mishap earlier resulted in a ride-able but slightly bent handlebar. They didn't have the bar in stock but recommended a small Motocross shop called IndyMoto. There we met Cam who invited us in and even let us use his shop to see if a bar he had would work on the bike. The bars he had were close but we couldn't get them to work, I Highly recommend the shop for any of your motocross needs in Indianapolis. We had lunch at Famous Dave's and went back to the track to watch some practicing In the rain. Then we went to Smee's Place for dinner, the food wasn't bad but the service was less than impressive.
Saturday we slept in a little, finally it was sunny again, relaxed then headed for the track stopping for pizza along the way. Don't remember the name of the place, but it wasn't anything memorable. Hung around at the track and watched some qualifying, checked out all of the vendors and Met a guy with a shirth that said Jesus Rides a Ducati. After that we headed out for Motorcycles on the Meridian. An event where they close off the streets and only allow motorcycles in. It was a great time. Jessie Rooke was there building a motorcycle, there were stunt riders and tons of bikes, all makes all years. There was also a guy named Preston Farabow making metal sculptures and recycled NASCAR lug nut belt buckles. We had a brief conversation, He was really nice and gave us a great deal if we bought 2 so Jeff and I now have a new belt buckles. We then ate dinner at The Claddagh, which had great food, atmosphere, and waitstaff, but that's not what was so great about it. When we walked in There were no seats in the entire place. In a small side room off of the entrance there was an older couple sitting on the far side of a table. They had not yet ordered so I asked if we could sit with them. We introduced ourselves as did they. They were in the area to move her father into a nursing home. They had no Idea there would be so many bikers in the area. We swapped stories and found out a lot of information about each other. They were from North Carolina and had done quite a bit of moving across the country. He had spent a lot of his younger days traveling across the country staying here and there. Being that they lived in North Carolina He asked if we had ridden the tail of the dragon. When he found out that that was to be one of my stops he gave me his card and asked me to give him a call when I got to the area. After a great dinner an conversation together we parted ways, but hopefully not for the last time.
Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! The day of the big race. Spent the day at the track enjoyed the races. Hung around with some old friends and made a few new ones. It wasn't the big win we all wanted for Ducati but a podium finish non the less. Had a great time and hope to do it again. After the races I removed the Jesus loves you buisness card from my gas tank (They really love Jesus out here). Then we stopped at White Castle so Jeff could try the burgers and later went to dinner at Yen Chings, A top 100 in the United States, Chinese food restaurant. The food was good and Our waitress was the most excited I think I've ever had. We always had fresh water and the food was out in maybe all of 5 minutes. Now were just relaxing and taking it easy after a long weekend, before parting ways tomorrow.

PHOTO UPDATE
So! It's been an interesting journey so far. Got hit by a little rain in New York and Ohio. Saw a Huge sign that said "JESUS IS REAL". We've seen a lot of highway, and stopped at a Super 8 in North East,PA. The people there were really nice, the bartender even made us sandwiches well after the kitchen had closed. Now we're in Indianapolis and all in one piece for the most part. Time to relax and watch the races for a few days before its off to Washington.
